RunRPGsessionswithoutlosingtheplotinyournotes

Talehaven is a web app for Game Masters and players that brings your campaign together: NPCs, locations, maps, items, notes, session calendars, and the whole beautiful mess that usually lives in Google Docs, Discord, random folders, screenshots, and the back of the GM's brain.

Build the world. Plan the sessions. Share with players only what they need to see. Keep the rest behind the GM screen.

Talehaven runs in your browser. No install. No juggling five different tools.

Why Talehaven

One place for your whole RPG campaign

Every campaign starts small. One idea. One location. One NPC who was supposed to show up once.

Then suddenly you have three versions of the map, ten documents, a player list, post-session notes, a lost tavern description, an unnamed NPC, a secret the players are not supposed to know yet, and a calendar where nobody is sure when you actually play.

Talehaven helps you pull it all together.

It is a tool for running RPG campaigns where you can create and organize the key parts of a session: documents, scenarios, NPCs, locations, items, maps, notes, relationships, music, and session dates.

The point is not for the app to run the session for you. The point is for you to run it with less noise.

The party should reach The Golden Dragon Tavern by the second hour of the session. The theft rumor should be delivered by Eldrin if they ask about the guild.
The problem

Sometimes the real boss fight is staying organized

Not every session falls apart because of a bad roll. Sometimes it is enough that:

  • the important NPC description lives in another document
  • the map is somewhere in new_final_final_2/
  • the players ask about something you cannot find
  • last session's notes vanished into chat
  • the next session date is buried in messages
  • and you are juggling pacing, mood, and rules at the same time

Talehaven exists to take that load off the GM.

Less searching. More running the game. Fewer fires. More story.

The solution

Your campaign, just better organized

Talehaven lets you build a campaign the way Game Masters actually work.

You start with an idea. Then come the places, characters, rumors, conflicts, items, secrets, maps, and scenes. You can link them, attach them to the campaign, and show them to the players only when the moment is right.

It is not a rigid builder that forces one workflow. It is a GM workshop that fits the way you already run games.

What you can do

Talehaven in five simple moves

01

Prep the session

Build the scenario, add NPCs, locations, maps, and GM notes. Everything in one place, ready to use at the table.

02

Run the campaign

Update the world after every session. Save the consequences of player choices, evolve characters, revisit old threads without digging through docs.

03

Share with players

Show the party selected materials, maps, locations, NPCs. Secrets, spoilers, and GM notes stay on your side.

04

Plan the next session

Run date polls, invite players, sort out availability without the chat chaos.

05

Improvise calmly

When the party walks off-plan, you have NPCs, places, ideas, and notes ready to spin into a new scene.

Session prep

Problem

You have an idea for the session, but everything starts drifting apart. One note in a doc, one on your phone, the map in some folder, and the NPC you cooked up on the tram is gone before you write it down.

How Talehaven helps

In Talehaven you prepare a session as one coherent set. Scenario, attached locations, NPCs, items, maps, and your own GM notes. All linked to the campaign.

Effect

You walk in with more than just text - you walk in with a workshop. You know who is on stage, where the party is, what they can find, what stays secret.

Multilanguage

Your party plays in its own language

Talehaven picks up new languages with you. Polish and English are already at hand. German, Spanish, Italian, French, Norwegian, Swedish, Czech, Portuguese, and Finnish are rolling in step by step - a good campaign should never trip over language.

Comparison

Less tab switching. More playing.

Without Talehaven

  • notes in Word
  • map in a separate folder
  • NPC in a file from last month
  • session dates on Discord
  • music in another tab
  • GM secrets between random comments
  • players ask, you search

With Talehaven

  • campaign in one place
  • NPCs, locations, and items at hand
  • maps attached to the world
  • documents and scenarios organized
  • session calendar inside the app
  • player-facing materials under control
  • less noise at the table
Manifesto

For people who love running sessions but hate the chaos around them

Talehaven does not replace your imagination. It does not run the session for you. It does not turn the campaign into a rigid form.

It gives you a place to keep all the beautiful mess: characters, locations, maps, secrets, scenarios, ideas, and player decisions.

Because the best campaigns do not need more documents. They need a better way to stay in control of them.

Idea

Build a campaign that is easier to run

You do not need to have everything ready. One idea, one location, or one NPC who is clearly asking for trouble is enough.

Start with a small campaign. Grow it when the story takes off.

Onboarding

Start simple

  1. 1

    Create an account.

  2. 2

    Build a campaign.

  3. 3

Add your first notes, NPCs, locations, or a map.

  4. 4

Invite the players or keep the campaign private.

  5. 5

Run the session with less noise at the table.

You do not have to build a whole world right away. Talehaven works from the first note.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • No. Talehaven was built mainly for GMs, but players also use shared materials, the session calendar, and the campaign elements the GM chooses to reveal.

Your next session can be better organized

We are not promising the players will stop burning down taverns, ignoring the main plot, or befriending random goblins.

But we can help you keep NPCs, maps, notes, locations, secrets, session dates, and the rest of the campaign at hand.

Talehaven is built by people who run sessions themselves and know the chaos.
